Master thesis project, 2019-2020

Unembodied is an illustrated narrative project aimed at girls and young women which explores body image and corporeal confines through a body neutral lens.

In the thesis I explore how to find a creative working method that attempts to step away from a creative process hindered by rules, moulds and analytical thinking – and instead focuses on intuition, spontaneity and freedom. The outcome of this methodology is a collection of illustrated stories that invites the audience to reflect on contemporary ideals and views of the female body by encouraging individual interpretation and mindful thinking.
